All Are Welcome Here
This is a place where all people will find acceptance and support. I value and serve all clients: male, female, non-binary and LGBTQIA. I am glad you are here.
Obtaining emotional wellness in therapy is like learning a new skill for most people – we just aren’t taught how to do this until we seek it out. Think of it as studying a new subject and learning new skills. It is a fallacy that we should be happy all the time, and yet our culture doesn’t spend a lot of time teaching us how to cope in a healthy manner when our world gets turned upside down.
Perhaps your world is feeling this way. Maybe you aren’t feeling like yourself. You crave feeling better and want to reclaim a sense of calm and peace in your life. You want to lessen feelings of anxiety, depression, worry.
You want to feel okay again. Maybe you have seen your self-care fall off the wagon and you want to get back on track. The only thing lacking is the roadmap.
Life isn’t easy. Our emotional wellbeing requires careful attention and the development of insight and patience. Often we find that collaboration with a trusted guide can provide a new perspective that helps makes this journey easier. Admitting you feel out control or simply just not ‘like yourself’ can be difficult. Taking the first step toward wellness requires courage on your part.
The silver lining of challenging emotional work is that you don’t have to do this alone. As partners in this process, we work together to help you gain the self- awareness needed to change some patterns that aren’t serving you and keep you from feeling better.
Know these things are true:
- There is nothing ‘wrong’ with you. We all need some help sometimes.
- Insight and awareness = freedom. When we know better, we do better.
